Energy Web Interface for Skills Enabling (Energy-WISE) EnergywiseEnergyWise

This project aims to improve the capacity of businesses’, especially SMEs, to carry out their own Energy Audits as part of a preliminary energy use assessment and subsequently, to use these results to inform the development of their energy management strategy.

The main objectives of the Energy Web Interface for Skills Enabling (ENERGY-WISE) project are to improve the ability of European SMEs to improve their energy end-use efficiency so that they can contribute to the European (Kyoto) targets for CO2 emission reduction, save money on their energy bills and be more competitive in the world economy.

BRIC regions International Trade Training
e-Learning Suite (BRIC ITT)BRICBRIC ITT

This project is aimed at improving the training materials for those European SMEs who aim to trade with the BRIC regions (Brazil, Russia, India and China). Targeting these emerging markets will allow SMEs to stay competitive and avoid making workers redundant in the current economic climate.

BRIC-ITT will engage with European SMEs to research barriers they face when attempting to trade with the BRIC countries. It will develop new learning approaches for the delivery of the international trade skills training by working with institutions across Europe. This will ensure the project has involved different stakeholders in making VET more responsive to the labour market. The results will be used to build on the existing platform of the previous InTeLS project.

Bio NetBIO Net
Business Intermediary Organisations e-Learning Network (BIOeNET)

Business Intermediary Organisations (BIOs) such as Chambers of Commerce and Trade Associations either provide, or recommend, a high proportion of the training services used by small businesses across Europe – with the European network of chambers of commerce alone training around 2.7 million people each year in 1,000+ training centres across Europe.

These BIOs increasingly rely on e-learning tools & products to provide the learning & skills needed. Many of BIOs’ e-learning products have applicability outside their immediate membership but have not been made more widely available due to cost, resource or competitive constraints.

The BIOeNET project seeks to establish a technical platform & commercial framework on which these e-learning products can be made available to Business Intermediary Organisations (BIOs) from across Europe for the ultimate benefit of their members and other Small & Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs).
